After spending some quality time in Bangkok just my best friend and I, we caught a flight south and met up with a girlfriend before catching a boat for the Phi Phi Islands for some actual shenanigans for Liz’s Hen Do (or for those from the US, her bachelorette). We stayed at possibly one of the farthest hotels from the dock for one night before moving to the luxury place we booked for the hen do.
I LOVE mentioning good accommodations because I am a picky bitch and some places have seriously stuck with me, and the Phi Phi Villa Resort is one of those places. Not only is it stunningly beautiful, the customer service is incredible and the staff seem to genuinely like the people who stay at their resort. Greeted with a fresh and fruity beverage while you wait for check-in, beautiful beach front villas, delicious *and included* breakfasts, and lots of special touches for the bride have given this resort free rent space in my brain for a long time.
The Hen Do included a night out at the infamous beach bars of Koh Phi Phi, with bucket drinks, glow in the dark body paint, dare cards for the bride and friends, a fancy dinner, and the best freaking all day cruise with Captain Bob’s Booze Cruise where we stopped and fed monkeys, had a beach picnic, and ended the day playing football and with SUP’s in the most beautiful lagoon.
On TripAdvisor they have 1,169 5* reviews, so again highly recommend. Our guide Momo (he calls himself Momo the Homo, which I love but wanted to let people know that is self proclaimed and not. a nickname I gave him), was fabulous! Donned in high heels and bikini, he really steals the show and was a wonderful surprise to the adventures.
